Saybrook Research creates new and proprietary  products and process technologies. The company is primarily focused on opportunities for the application of emerging technologies to established markets, and has an impressive track record in product development and commercialization in both consumer and  industrial sectors.

The group was founded by its Director, John Matthew.  John has held leadership positions in Industrial Management, Research and Development, and Technology Consulting.  He holds more than 20 patents in a wide variety of technology areas including specialty textiles, process machinery, and alternative energy devices.  Several patents support multi-million dollar revenue streams today.  John was the recipient of the H.O.Ware Prize in 2004, recognizing his many contributions to technical advancement in the Paper Industry.

John holds a BSME from Northeastern University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
